This is old news. McFarlane has been known to steal material and his jokes are pointless and doesnt have anything to do with the story. Did you see that South Park episode where they skewered Family Guy. The kids kept repeating, "But it's not even funny" and stuff like that.
Really Family Guy is a, well, joke.
i guess people like those jokes enough to make McFarlane keep on making them. like Sting said, nothing is original.
Solomon pre-dated Sting by a couple thousand years when he said, "There is nothing new under the sun." But there is a new take on old stuff, and there's plagiarism and laziness and McFarlane clearly belongs to the latter category.
